Antiche Terre Venete – Amarone della Valpolicella "Baorna" 2019

A masterpiece of patience, passion, and tradition.

Classification: Amarone della Valpolicella D.O.C.G.
Region: Valpolicella, Veneto, Italy
Grapes: Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella, and complementary varieties
Alcohol Content: 15%

Crafted with passion in the heart of Valpolicella, this Amarone is the result of meticulous hand-picked grape selection, typically harvested in September. Grapes are dried naturally in “appassimento” facilities (Fruttai) for 90–120 days, concentrating flavors and aromas. Pressed between December and February, fermentation occurs slowly at controlled temperatures below 22°C for 14–30 days, with careful pump-overs and délestage.

Aging:
The wine matures for a minimum of two years in barriques, large oak barrels, or stainless steel, developing complexity and elegance.

Color: Intense dark garnet red.

Aroma: Notes of plum and cherry, complemented by a hint of raspberry, and refined by delicate spices from oak aging.

Taste: Full-bodied and velvety, with smooth tannins and a lingering aromatic finish that showcases the wine’s finesse and depth.

Serving Suggestions:
Open at least one hour before serving and pour into a wide glass to fully appreciate its aromas. Perfectly paired with red and grilled meats, game, or aged hard cheeses.

Longevity:
If stored properly at a constant 15°C, away from light and in a horizontal position, this Amarone can develop tertiary aromas for 5–8 years.

Why We Love It:
A wine that embodies the timeless craftsmanship of Valpolicella: bold, elegant, and unforgettable—a perfect addition for collectors or those celebrating special occasions.
